The matchboxes are made from recyclable FSC certified card with a 51x51mm print area which extends over the top and one edge of the box. The overall box size is 58 x 37 x 15mm, with an instruction card included inside. Each ball contains approximately 30 British wildflower seeds, including cornflower, red campion, oxeye daisy, poppy and musk mallow (all UK-native plants). By being encased in clay and peat-free compost, the seeds are protected from being eaten by birds and insects, maximising the chance of successful growth. Once germinated, chilli powder included in the ball further deters slugs and snails from eating the young shoots. Simply scatter outdoors in a few pots, window box or garden bed on top of the soil (no need to dig) and water well.
